Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Nice Picture, Terrible Rainbows
The picture on this projector is great. Bright and vivid with exceptional sharpness. Only problem is the excessive rainbow effect from the 2x color wheel. Prior to this I owned a Infocus X1 with a 2x color wheel as well. I had no issues with rainbow effect. Only 5% of the population is supposed to have rainbow issues with DLP projectors. I've had 6 people watch this projector and all have seen excessive rainbow artifacts. The HC1500 had a 4x wheel (faster wheel = less rainbows). I have no ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Hard to beat the price
I just moving up from an Epson Powerlite S1 standard definition so this was a great improvement at little cost. I mean, dang if you buy before the end of January 09 you get $100 and a second bulb. That makes the real price about $300. I've only been using it for a week as a home theater ceiling mount but it's quiet, bright and easy to adjust with the remote.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - great buy
This was the first projector I had ever purchased. After doing a lot of research and weighing the pros and cons I decided on the Mitsubishi. I feel I made the right decision. I have my dvd player, playstation, and a satellite receiver hooked up to it and everything comes in crystal clear. I currently have the picture shining on a wall at a 77" diag. The hd is stunning. This was a great buy!!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Mitsubishi HC1600 720p DLP Home Theater Projector
I was looking for the best projector I could fined that would fit in my budget. I am over all very happy with my HC1600. The picture is really good, I do not see any RBE ( Rain Bow Effect ) although is does have screen door effect. But unless you are right up on it, you can t see it. My screen is 10 feet wide by 5.5 feet high and I view it from 15 to 18 feet away. From there, you can not see the screen door effect at all. It is very quiet, Blu-Ray looks fantastic, and playing Motor Storm from a cockpit ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love it
I just got my HC1600 projector, so I cant tell about it durability or something like that, but I can say about its image quality.
I was thinking between this Mitsubishi and the Epson Powerlite, also 720p, but $400 above.
So I decided for this one and used the 400 on the Onkyo S5100 Home Theater
I'm very very veeeery happy (one more very..) with my decision.
I'm preatty sure that Epson's Powerlite is a great projector, probably better than this one (it must have a why for the price), ... Read More
