I can't believe that this has gotten bad reviews!!! The only two things you really need to be scared of when buying this VHS tape is that there might be tracking problems (but there weren't any), and that VHS is now uh, extinct (not that I mind) A very good cartoon. It used to be a part of Fancy Fun and Free, but I thought that this by itself would be better (and it was). -At first it seemed a little cheesy, but the three brave friends went off and saved the day! Wasn't my favorite but it was okay.

Rating: - Excellent half-hour cartoon.
When I was very young I loved this and I still do. Mickey, Donald and Goofy live in Hapy Valley, near the babbling brook, until the magic singing golden harp is stolen by the giant. They must climb the magic beanstalk and retrieve it in order to save Happy Valley. Lovely music and animation with classic Disney characters.

I remember this movie from my childhood and still love it. I like this version better than the one featured in "Fun and Fancy Free." My siblings and I can still remember every line from the movie; We watched it that much!

"Mickey and the Beanstalk" is one of those rare Disney shorts that has the feel and look of one of the studio's feature length animated works, mainly because it was originally part of the 1947 grab-bag feature "Fun and Fancy Free."
