The American-based company Lodge has been fine-tuning its construction of rugged, cast-iron cookware for more than a century. No other metal is as long-lasting and works as well for spreading and retaining heat evenly during cooking. Lodge's Logic line of cookware comes factory pre-seasoned with the company's vegetable oil formula, and is ready to use right out of the box. After cooking, simply scrub the cast iron with a stiff brush and hot water, no soap, and dry immediately.
Breakfast in particular somehow tastes extra hearty when cooked in a heavy cast-iron skillet. Cast iron loves a campfire, a stovetop, or an oven, and can slow-cook foods without scorching and sear meat at higher temperatures. A good all-purpose size at 10-1/4 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep, this skillet can fry up eggs, pancakes, steaks, chicken, hamburgers, and can bake desserts and casseroles as well. A helper handle aids in lifting, and the looped primary handle allows hanging. Two side spouts pour off grease or juice. Even though the pan comes pre-seasoned, applying a little vegetable oil before use helps prevent food from sticking. - now that's a panThis pan is great. I bought a smaller one and fell in love with it, that I had to buy alarge one. Nexti am going to add a lid. It is great that It comes pre-seasoned, basically it is ready to use. It reminds me of grandma's house, grandma's always have a cast iron pan.

- Well worth the money!This pan is fantastic. Yes, cast iron is a little heavy, and you will need a potholder as the handle will get hot as you cook. The benefits of this product well make up for those two minor down sides.
Food tastes great, the pan is non-stick once properly seasoned, infuses iron into the food (good for you!), will last a lifetime (and longer) and is Made in the USA!

- New Cast Iron ownerI've recently gotten a major cooking bug and decided I NEEDED a cast iron skillet because everyone raves about it. At these prices, how can you not have one in your kitchen? But I have to admit, I did not inform myself well enough before I used it. I've just been so used to the way I use and clean my teflon pans. - Lodge Logic Cast Iron is the Way To Go!I bought these pans a while ago,and must say,it's great! the Diameter is perfect for smaller pancakes,and they wont stick! Eggs,bacon,everything fries great in this pan,already seasoned is awsome also.Plus you don't have the chemicals,like in those no stick pans.These cast iron pans will last a lifetime!
