Tidy Cats Breeze Cats Litter Box System, 1-Count Kit
- Not a Huge DealWe happened to see this at Walmart one day and thought we'd give it a try, fully expecting that the cats may not like it. We set it up in our room and let them sniff around it and get used to it. After a while, I placed each cat in the box and let them get used to the feel of the litter. Then I even showed them that they could dig in it (in the past, lifting their paws in the new litter and making a digging motion was all they needed to realize that's where the poop goes).
Our two males switched to the new litter the first night. They didn't protest or use the floor instead. I didn't need to let their litter get dirty. I simply placed the new box where the old one was, and no problems since.
Since there isn't anything to cover the poop, it does get a little smelly, but I don't think it's any worse than the old litter box. I scoop it out every other day, which takes about a minute. Some of the pellets stick to the poop, since they still try to cover it, but I only lose about 10 pellets every few days. I haven't had to buy any more yet, and it's been 2 1/2 weeks (supposed to last a month).
The pad has been in for just a day under a week and I smell nothing. The ammonia was the main problem I was having with the old system so I greatly appreciate this new system. Some owners are saying their pads only last about 3 days, I don't know what the difference is between their cats and ours, but our pad has been fine. Maybe our cats don't drink nearly as much water.
In my opinion, if you can stand to lose $35 or have a friend who wants to try it if you decide to give up, then go for it. You may just like it.

- great systemBesides the dust from clumping litter getting into every nook, and the litter being tracked everywhere the cat goes, we decided to try the Breeze system because my 15 year old cat, in the beginning phases of his dementia or something, has to put his paw in the water to drink. That made for a very dirty container of water when he was done because his paw was clumped up from litter, not to mention what he drank from that "tainted" water. So I was constantly changing his water, but I'm not around 24/7 so this seemed to be the perfect answer.
It took him about a week to accept the change. The instructions call for placing the box next to the old one, but space is not available to it was the new one only. He peed no problem but the poopie came almost a week later. Luckily I was home the first days to monitor.
It's been over 2 months now and he's gotten his system down: pee in the back of the box, poop in the front, but sometimes the back. (thank goodnes he figured that out as in the beginning, he tried to pee in the front of the box and missed it entirely and peed on the floor instead.) I don't mind that he doesn't always cover his poop. When it dries, there is no smell. (and I'm not home to catch that first wave, thankfully)
The pee pad only lasts 2 days for my 1 cat. He drinks a lot of water. The first week, I forgot and didn't change it until the 5th day. It was horrible. Luckily, the pan is right next to the toilet so I was able to spill it out. Thank goodness for latex gloves and Clorox wipes.
The pellets get all soggy and clumpy it they are not moved around after a pee. And my cat's pee STINKS. So, I sprinkle baking soda on top of the wet litter before going over it with the scoop. Broken bits do fall down onto the pad. And I sprinkle new pellets every month to refresh the level.
Overall, I love the Breeze. No dust, but there is tracking. I've found pellets 2 rooms away but in the overall picture, it's nothing new to find litter bits all over the place. Best of all, I don't have to hound the cat about dipping his paw into the water anymore.

- Good but in the long term expensive, however.................A good system. I have a female cat that likes to dig to Australia and tracks litter every where and an older male cat.
She likes corn/wheat litter in a Booda Dome box and he likes Crystals in a littermaid.
Me, I would like an odor free, litter tracking free condo! So hence this purchase.
She took to it no problem. He well his vote is not in yet. The Littermaid has gone but he does have a regular no frills litter box with crystals and the Breeze. So we shall see.
Pellets - expensive but I suspect that they will be no more expensive than the crystals. Pads - a crazy price. Note that there are pads out there that are chux impregnated with sodium bicarb for odor control and they are way cheaper and under 20 cents per pad.

- AWESOME You have to try this. After buying two electronic machines that broke, this is the best thing I can say I have ever invested in... Seriously! There is no smell and I am so excited to not have to use the dusty litter. Never again! My husband and I got the unit as a deal of the day and then spent about 80 for what we consider a year supply of pads and litter. We actually did not even replace the "litter" (plastic pellets) for over a month. It stays so clean. Our cat is finnicky too - where she only likes to go in certain spots with certain litters. We bought this and added a few pellets to her existing litter at the time as recommended and she picked up on it right away... I think she prefers it because nothing gets stuck to her feet and she's not "going" on top of other spots. I will recommend this product to everyone that has a cat. This truly is a wonderful product!

- Best litter system ever!I read many of the reviews, mainly the negative ones since the majority were positive, before finally purchasing two systems when it was a Gold Box deal. I kept one and my sister took the other, so this review will contain both of our findings and opinions. We both had two cats for the time period of this review, and we both used the crystals in our old litter boxes. My cats took to it immediately, and used both the old and the new litter box for the first couple of months. I plan on getting rid of the old box once I run out of crystals. My sister's cats took a little more time before they started using it, but they are now using the Breeze system more than their old litter box. My sister is using two pads a week and one pellet bag a month. I'm using one pad every week and a 1/2 and one pellet bag every two months. Since neither of us have removed the old litter boxes yet, the current usage of the pellets and pads may change. Odor control is impressive and it tracks very little. This is the best litter system I have ever used, and my sister agrees. It's also great that the pads and pellets are delivered to my door, as they are available as subscription items with a 15% discount through Amazon.com.
