Honeyville's Powdered Whole Eggs are produced though a special process designed to provide a free flowing powder that has been pasteurized for your safety. Originally developed for use in the military, our whole egg powder, when blended with water, reconstitutes into a product similar to fresh whipped eggs. These reconstituted eggs may then be used as a direct substitute for fresh eggs. One 2.25 pound can of Powdered Whole Eggs is equivalent to 85 Fresh Whole Eggs. I did not think it would be so nasty. Now I am stuck with a bunch of this powder, and the only use i can find is baking where you cant really tell the difference.

Well i read all the reviews VERY carefully before i bought theese things....i was a bit scared at first naturally eating a egg from powder but i kept thinking about the buffet eggs...we all know thir not real eggs yet theres something magical about them! lol i figured i could make my own shoneys buffet at home...(kinda lol) but anyhoo i made some right when they got here as i was anxious to try em....lemme say when i tried them i wasnt very hungry at all so im sure that had something to do with it...but ... I bought these for a camping trip. Mixed exactly as described. Taste great. Once cooked could not tell the difference in them and whole eggs. Taste and texture exactly the same. Them seem to thin when you first mix them but once cooked they are great.

You probably don't want to fix them for your guests but they are an excellent way to keep eggs on hand for baking or as part of your emergency food supply.

Rating: - Contains wheat -- no warning on product page
Received the package to discover a warning on the label that the product may contain wheat. There is no allergy warning on Amazon -- apparently, if you are allergic, you have to order the product to find out that you cannot eat it.
